I am Louise of Dizzydollylou – a Christian, wife, and mum to two children and Poppy the dog! We live on the edge of the Cambridgeshire fens, East Anglia, UK.
Ten years ago I started silversmithing when I decided to make my husband’s wedding ring as a special symbol of our marriage. This sparked an interest in creating jewellery with silver and so I went to a jewellers in Bury St Edmunds to learn how to create jewellery with Silver Clay. I found that I could be far more artistic with Silver Clay – all those hours playing with polymer clay as a child must have paid off!
I enjoyed this so much that I helped to teach classes there before going on to be a freelance jewellery designer creating fine silver jewellery from my home studio.
I am very sentimental and this inspires me to create pieces of jewellery that have a very special meaning to people. I believe that my desire of creating things comes from our creator God who himself loved making things!
In my spare time I also love to wet felt pictures and use machine embroidery to embellish them as well as a little dress making and running a craft group each week.
